If you haven't heard already (which I'm assuming you have if you're reading this), we're launching our own brand of compound chocolate called Sweet Shoppe Coating Wafers. We've been working on this product for over a year and are excited to debut it in Mid-July.

What is compound chocolate?
Compound chocolate is a chocolate-like substance made from sugar, oil, and in some products, cocoa powder. It's widely used in the candy-making world because it's easy to use - no tempering required!

Tempering can be dubious. It's a process that even the most seasoned chefs struggle to get right and often results in abandoned pretzels and kitchens a mess. The good news here is you don't have to temper  Sweet Shoppe compound chocolate. All you have to do is melt and dip, dunk, drizzle, or anything else you could think of to your heart's content.

So what's different with Sweet Shoppe's candy coating wafers?
Our coating wafers are less sweet than typical coating chocolate. This is because we wanted our chocolate coating wafers to complement - not overpower - your creations.  Sweet Shoppe coating wafers are available in 4 flavors: Ultra White, White, Milk, and Dark. Our personal favorite is Ultra White because the shade is unbelievably white. It's whiter than a white wedding dress! As whiter as celebrities' veneers!

Another difference with Sweet Shoppe coating wafers is the consistency. They melt into a silky, smooth liquid that provides an even coating to your creations. They're perfect for dipping and dunking cakesicles, and cake pops, making chocolate bars and hot chocolate bombs. Our coating chocolate wafers set with a beautiful finish and a crispy snap.
