Easy Summer Dessert Recipes: Chocolate Dipped Bananas

Easy Summer Dessert Recipes: Chocolate Dipped Bananas
How much could a banana cost, Michael, $10?

If you know where that's from - you know what's up.

Pro tip: freeze your bananas ahead of time
The next addition in our Easy Summer Dessert Recipes is an oldie but a goodie - Chocolate Covered Bananas.

Why is this a perfect summer dessert?
It's frozen.

Only 2 ingredients - bananas & chocolate wafers

Customizable - you can add whatever you want to them - sprinkles, chocolate chips, cupcake bits, nuts, Turkish delights, the limit doesn't exist!

Okay, let's get down to it.

The Recipe: Chocolate Covered Bananas Recipe
Ingredients:

4 - 5 ripe bananas (some dark spots are okay but if you don't like to eat bananas that have any bit of brown, pop them in the freezer and save them for some banana bread)

2 cups chocolate coating wafers

optional toppings: mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut,

Instructions:

Peel the bananas
Cut bananas in half (or whatever size you want)
Pop them on a popsicle stick (or whatever you have on hand)
Freeze so the banana doesn't slide off the stick ( Min 10 minutes max 1 hour)
Melt the chocolate coating wafers. See our tips and best practices in this blog post.
Dip, dunk, drizzle, and repeat
If you want to add sprinkles or some topping, dip your bananas in small batches. The chocolate will harden quickly on frozen bananas, so I recommend dipping them three at a time and then sprinkling them with your topping.
And there you have it. Another easy summer dessert that only requires 2 ingredients. Does it get any better than that?

We think not.

Until next time friends!
